We don’t get coffee from Cameroon all that often, so it’s a rare opportunity to try this lot of Java cultivar produced in Kouoptamo. The cup is bittersweet and roast-toned, not too flashy, though it does have interesting hints of fruit and toasted grain, and citrus-y acidic hint. The dry fragrance and wet aroma had hints of praline nuts, honey wheat bread, malted barley sweetness, banana chips, and pipe tobacco. The cup produces a very pleasant roast taste in the City+/Full City levels, nut toned filberts, bittering cocoa, along with an accent of toasted coconut in the finish. It offers sweet hints of molasses cookie and rice syrup, with balanced brightness that draws out accent notes of earthy Matcha tea, and lemon bars.
